Prime Minister Narendra Modi released the 17th installment of Pradhan Mantri Kishan Samman Nidhi facility for beneficiary farmers in Baranasi during his one-day visit. The scheme was launched in February 2019.
What is PM Kisan?
Government of India has launched a new central sector scheme “Pradhan Mantri Krishan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN)” to increase the income of Small and Marginal Farmers (SMFs).
Under this scheme, direct Rs. 6000 will be transferred in three equal installments every year. 2000 will be paid every four months into the bank account of the eligible landholding family. PM Kishan is a central sector scheme with 100% funding from the Government of India. These funds will be directly transferred to the bank account of the beneficiaries.
The last 16th installment of PM KISHAN scheme was released on February 28, 2024.
PM KISAN eKYC
According to PM Kishan website, “PM-KISHAN Helpline No. 155261/011-24300606 eKYC is mandatory for PM KISAN registered farmers. OTP based eKYC is available on PM KISHAN portal or can contact nearest CSC centers for biometric based eKYC.
Modes of EKYC: Following three totals of eKYC are available for farmers under PM Kishan Scheme.
(1) OTP based eKYC (available on PM Kishan Portal and Mobile App).
(2) Biometric based eKYC (available at Common Service Centers (Common Service Centers) and Rajya Sabha Centers (SSKs).
(3) Face authentication based eKYC (available on PM Kishan mobile app used by millions of farmers).
Status of KYC done through any model will be reflected in beneficiary status after 24 hours. Farmers can also access their status from KYS module on PM Kisan Portal and Kisan e Mitra (PM KISAN AI Chat Bot).
How to Check Pradhan Mantri Kisan Beneficiary Status Online
Step 1: Visit the official PM Kisan website.
Step 2: Access the beneficiary status page.
Step 3: Click on “Beneficiary Status”…
Step 4: Enter your Aadhaar Number or Account Number.
Step 5: Click on “Data Data”.
Step 6: Check Beneficiary Status.
Step 7: Check payment status. Your beneficiary status will be shown on the screen when the system processes your request and checks the PM Kishan database for your details.
Reasons for rejection of PM Kisan beneficiaries
1. Duplicate- Name of Beneficiary.
2. KYC is not complete.
3. Farmers belonging to exclusion category will be rejected.
4. Giving wrong IFSC code while filling application form.
5. Bank account closed or invalid, account transferred, blocked or frozen.
6. Beneficiary’s Aadhar card not linked to bank account.
7. Mandatory field values are missing.
